Salam Basic School – Sudan

Rights Now wants to contribute to children at risk and ensure they have access to good schools and preschools. Through a partnership with a Dutch foundation, which is represented locally in Khartoum, Sudan, we have been able to support the Salama Basic School in the area of Jabarona.

The staff’s goal is to offer pre-school and school activities of high quality that all families can afford. This is important in Jabarona, since many who live there has fled their country and they are in very uncertain and difficult social and economic situations. Today Salama Basic School create opportunities for more than 500 girls and boys. They want to reach even more, and their vision is: ‘Basic education for all’.
