Support for asylum-seeking children in Sweden through IM.
Children and young people who come to Sweden as refugees has the right to receive good support. Therefore, Rights Now supported two of IM’s programs. They are preventive educational programs aimed at asylum-seeking children and their families and children or their families who have already obtained a residence permit. The goal is that the children who participate will get a better mental health, to learn more about themselves and about the asylum process while they wait for a decision. For those children who have already obtained a residence permit, the goal is to make it easier to become integrated into the Swedish society. The support from Rights Now is directed specifically to the development of support activities and training of group leaders.
